The first cohort of the Student Business Seedling, featuring Little CEOs training programme for students targeting western and central regions is launched today (4 January 2025) at Financial Institutions Training Institute limited (FITI). The programme was graced by Honorable Dasho Secretary of Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Employment (MoICE). Director General (DG) of Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship (DoEE) and other senior officials from DoEE and representatives from other stake holders joined the opening ceremony.

The SBS Programme will be conducted for 15 days by FITI in collaboration with Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship (DoEE). Student Business Seedling (SBS), featuring a little CEO programme, is an entrepreneurship and youth leadership development programme that will provide an opportunity for the youth to develop a critical thinking skills fostering innovation, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. Introducing entrepreneurship education to school children not only prepares them for future challenges but also empowers them with the mindset and tools to create value in their communities. This program aims to nurture entrepreneurial thinking at an early age and equip students with the foundational skills needed to become future leaders and change-makers
