A majority of insurers in traditionally underserved markets like Bhutan still struggle to offer insurance products that are viable for them and valuable for consumers. Capacity gaps among insurers’ staff are one of the factors inhibiting this progress.
The three days program (3rd – 5th Aug. 2022) on “Insurance for Development” was offered to bridge the capacity gaps of insurance professionals on business models and strategies of how to provide insurance solutions to the underserved markets in Bhutan. The target participants were insurance practitioners exploring and setting up inclusive insurance programmes in their organizations.
