The Student Business Seedling Programme (SBSP), featuring the Little CEOs programme, was successfully concluded with closing ceremonies held on ๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ฎ๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐, following an intensive eight-day programme conducted from 12 January 2026 to 20 January 2026. The programme was implemented simultaneously at three centres- ๐๐ก๐๐ฆ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฉ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ค๐ก๐๐ซ serving as regional hubs that attracted students from nearby dzongkhags and communities, ensuring broad geographical representation.
The SBSP targeted students from ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐ฌ ๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐๐ and benefited a total of 43 students, with 24 participants in Samdrup Jongkhar, and 19 in Zhemgang. The programme was designed to promote entrepreneurial skills at the grassroots level and to nurture an entrepreneurial mindset among the youth as future citizens and contributors to the national economy.

During the closing ceremonies, students showcased their learning outcomes by presenting innovative business ideas, reflecting the entrepreneurial competencies, creativity, and leadership skills developed throughout the programme.

The programme was funded under the ๐๐๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐ ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ (๐๐๐) and jointly implemented by the Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship (DoEE) and Financial Institutions Training Institute (FITI). The SBSP forms an integral part of the Royal Government of Bhutanโs broader efforts to promote entrepreneurship, youth empowerment, and balanced regional development across the country.
